libotr is prone to an overflow condition. The otrl_base64_otr_decode() function in src/b64.c, the otrl_proto_data_read_flags and otrl_proto_accept_data functions in src/proto.c and the decode function in toolkit/parse.c fail to properly sanitize user-supplied input during base64 string decoding, resulting in a heap-based buffer overflow. With a specially crafted ?OTR===. message value , a remote attacker can potentially execute arbitrary code.
