Description

Network Instruments Observer is prone to an overflow condition. This issue is triggered when an error occurs in the CSnmp::ASN1_ReadObjIDValue() method (NISNMP.DLL) during the processing of an Object Identifier (OID) in a variable binding list. This will result in a limited stack-based buffer overflow. When parsing a Trap PDU (0xA4) SNMP datagram, a remote attacker can potentially execute arbitrary code.
