Debian Linux is prone to an overflow condition. The dhcpcd client fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input resulting in a stack overflow. With a specially crafted DHCP packet, a remote attacker can potentially execute arbitrary code.
Upgrade dhcpcd to version 4.0.2 or higher, as it has been reported to fix this vulnerability. An upgrade is required as there are no known workarounds. Debian has also released an update
