FreeBSD ipfw contains a flaw that may allow a malicious user unauthorized access to a platform. The issue is triggered when users specify mask addresses to ipfw using the address:mask syntax. It is possible that the flaw may allow or deny more packets through the filter than intended resulting in a loss of integrity.
