Description

A remote command execution vulnerability exists in the Music On Hold module of the FreePBX 2.2.x web admin interface.

Technical

Due to improper filtering of user input in the music on hold administration module , input can be escaped and commands can be issued to the server with root privilege.

Solution

Upgrade to version 2.3.x or higher, as it has been reported to fix this vulnerability. An upgrade is required as there are no known workarounds.
