Description

webMethods Glue Console contains a flaw that allows a remote attacker to read arbitrary files outside of the web path. The issue is due to the /console script not properly sanitizing user input, specifically directory traversal style attacks (../../) supplied via the 'resource' variable(s).

Technical

The webMethods Glue Management Console includes HTML pages via the /console?resource=console/index.html variable, which is prone to a classic traversal attack.

Solution

Currently, there are no known workarounds or upgrades to correct this issue. However, webMethods has released a patch to address this vulnerability.
