Description

The Firewall Services Module (FWSM) contains a flaw that may allow a remote denial of service. The issue is triggered when processing received malformed SNMP packets, and will result in loss of availability for the system.

An attacker must send or spoof SNMP messages from an source address that is explicit permitted to poll the FWSM in order to exploit this vulnerability.

Solution

Upgrade to FWSM version 3.1(3.1) or higher, as it has been reported to fix this vulnerability. An upgrade is required as there are no known workarounds.
