Description

Cisco IOS contains a flaw that may allow a remote attacker to gain privileges. The issue occurs because the operating system does not properly handle incoming packets. By sending traffic with a crafted IP option in an IPheader of an ICMP, PIMv2, PGM or URD packet, an attacker can potentially cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code.
