Trillian contains a flaw that may allow a malicious user to gain access to a user's instant messenging account passwords. The issue is triggered when accessing ".ini" files that store IM passwords using weak encryption occurs. It is possible that the flaw may allow unauthorized access to instant messenging accounts resulting in a loss of confidentiality.
