Description

A code execution flaw exists in Works and Office. WkImgSrv.dll fails to validate data passed to the WksPictureInterface resulting in code execution. With a specially crafted website, a context-dependent attacker can cause arbitrary code execution resulting in a loss of integrity.

Solution

Currently, there are no known upgrades or patches to correct this issue. It is possible to correct the flaw by implementing the following workaround: set the kill-bit on the WkImgSrv.dll ActiveX Control (CLSID {00E1DB59-6EFD-4CE7-8C0A-2DA3BCAAD9C6}).
