Description

A remote overflow exists in Microsoft Windows XP. Windows XP fails to perform proper bounds checks in hlink.dll within the handling of Hyperlinks in e.g. Excel documents resulting in a stack-based buffer overflow. With a specially crafted request, an attacker can cause arbitrary code execution resulting in a loss of integrity.
