IRIX contains a flaw that may allow a malicious user to gain access to unauthorized privileges. The issue is triggered when a malicious user appends a string, which contains additional commands to execute, to the end of an authorized command string. This flaw may lead to a loss of integrity.

This vulnerability also affects the maintenance release (an 'm' after the version number) on version 6.5.22
Solution
Currently, there are no known workarounds or upgrades to correct this issue in version 6.5.22. However, IRIX has released a patch to address this vulnerability in version 6.5.27 and version 6.5.28.
